The All India Gaming Federation (AIGF), the pioneer self-regulatory body for skill gaming in India, has been continuously raising the issue of offshore betting websites promoting aggressively disregarding regulations in India. Indian regulations forbid games of chance from being offered or played. Only Goa, Sikkim, and Meghalaya permit games of chance, which require a prior license. The Public Gambling Act of 1867 or comparable regulations functional in the states disallows all games of chance that unlawful online casinos offer.

The not-for-profit body has as of late written to Prime Minister Modi to raise the issue of a few unlawful online betting, wagering, and trading sites working in India through entities incorporated outside India. In the letter, AIGF asserted that these sites are drawing users from India and professing to be legitimately offering their services to residents of India. The AIGF counts casino gaming goliath Delta, multi-gaming platform Gameskraft, Pokerstars, Zuppee, and Adda52 among the individuals. AIGF CEO Roland Landers has been reliably tweeting on the issue.

The organizations offering unlawful betting services are incorporated outside India. AIGF has previously requested that the authorities raise the issue at political levels to bring the offending organizations, their advertisers, and their leaders to justice.

The vast majority of these organizations are incorporated and situated in far-off nations like the United Kingdom, Malta, Curacao (Netherlands), UAE, South Africa, Costa Rica, and so on. Among the cricketers, Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, DJ Bravo, Kevin Petersen, and Dale Steyn go about as brand envoys to different offshore wagering platforms. As of late, in a comparative case, the Nepal Telecom Authority has closed down a few offshore wagering and casino sites in the Himalayan country.
