All India Gaming Federation Expresses Need For Robust Policy Framework For Promotion Of Esports Sector
With esports and e-gaming gaining footing, there is a requirement for vigorous policy frameworks and the formation of digital infrastructure to advance the sector, All India Gaming Federation (AIGF) has said. Citing a new report, it said the Indian gaming market is ready to reach $6-7 billion in esteem by 2025 from $1.8 billion as of now.

The new Karnataka High Court judgment lifting the prohibition on gaming in the state follows other positive decisions given by the High Courts of different states that perceived Fantasy Sports as games of skill and a genuine business activity safeguarded under Article 19 (1) (g) of the Constitution of India.
