Following the good discussion and interactive session on GST & the gaming industry yesterday, AIGF has decided to do a follow-up session on the International Best Practices in Taxation of the Gaming Industry and what would be the best way to make the representation to the government.

Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan (L&S) has kindly agreed to do a session on how other jurisdictions charge GST on gaming and the best way forward to make representations to the government. L&S has kindly agreed to make a presentation and provide the likely rates for each Gaming vertical – online skill games, technology, casinos, betting and lottery, vis-a-vis taxation structure in other jurisdictions.

Further each Gaming vertical can discuss with L&S individually on the way forward and suggestions to be made to the government.
