India has experienced a decade of continuous digital transformation in information and communication technology. In order to improve the efficiency of the public sector, the Indian government launched the “Digital India Project” to transform India into a globally interconnected society and knowledge-based economy.

The plan aims to ensure that every Indian citizen has access to high-speed Internet and be a part of an online or cashless payment system. In addition, citizens have digital literacy and can use digital resources in Indian languages so that public departments or government agencies can become active so that citizens can submit their government documents easily.

The government initiated the Digital India Project to transform India into a globally networked society and knowledge-based economy. Digital Village outlines the main strategy of the Indian government under the Digital India Plan. According to this concept, some villages will be transformed into active digital and cashless settlements, allowing villagers to perform most of their daily activities completely online. Many rural facilities can be managed entirely through the Internet; every villager will receive digital education.

The improvement of Internet services will benefit the Indian gaming industry and accelerate its growth. Rural areas currently lack high-speed connections and have fewer resources than metropolitan areas. In the long run, there will be more participants from the rural areas than in cities.

There has been numerous infrastructure employment based on the Digital Village Project in rural India, like people trained in various skills such as preparing for work, providing training courses in rural India to improve their understanding of various skills such as telephone repair or service technicians, etc. In rural regions, mainly games such as the lottery are growing in numbers daily. These games have also been developed and improved digitally to enhance living conditions in rural areas, and the results are being shown daily.
