The Online Gaming To Get Bigger And More Accepted In India In 2021
A survey conducted by the All-India Gaming Federation (AIGF), the industry-leading non-profit organization for India’s online skill games suggested that, the online gaming can also be turned into a career if more people can turn their passion for play into a full-time career.
Understanding the facts of the report titled “Online Gaming Is A Skill For Life”, it essentially tries to understand what skills are considered by players to be life skills, how the players have acquired those skills, whether a job at a workplace has taught them these skills effectively and which of these skills can be learned through playing a game, as online gaming has been proved to develop strong analytical skills.

After the crashes and social distancing last year, attitudes towards games have changed dramatically and their acceptance has increased.
Interestingly, gamers also showed they were more positive, real-world working relationships with their online gaming teammates. Based on the results, 56% of the players stated that they are more honest with their fellow players than with their colleagues (51%) are of legal age (2%).
More than half (57%) thought that playing online games could help a person improve practical life skills in the same way that they would do a full day at work. Games among online gamblers, reflexes (65%), and strategy and logic (68%) were seen as the two most important skills, closely followed by determination (53%) and an understanding of risk/reward (52%).46% said memory is crucial.
The bias of the results due to gender was also remarkable. According to the survey which was conducted, it is noticeable that 51% of women feel that physical and mental skills such as “memory” and “reflexes” are essential for online gamers (compared to 33% of men).
The mobile phone is increasingly the device of choice for online sports and games, and Generation Z, born and raised in the age of digital transformation, are more comfortable using the mobile phone for this purpose (73%), while those over 45 feel least comfortable (66%). More than two-thirds of men (67%) considered cognitive skills such as strategy and logic, understanding the risks and benefits, and determination to be a requirement for online gamblers (compared to 49% of women).
According to Roland Landers, CEO of the All-India Gaming Federation, on analyzing the most important trends that matter to marketers, it is no longer just a place of entertainment, but also an opportunity to collaborate, participate and acquire new life skills and in certain cases also to make money. It’s long-term and marketers can view it as an integral part of evolving consumer behavior. Realize the value of mobile games. With greater acceptance, games are also seen as a source of exercise for memory, analytical skills, concentration, and other complex cognitive skills.
