Kumarmanglam Vijay
Kumarmanglam has extensive experience in matters relating to direct and indirect taxation (including international taxation, transfer pricing, litigation and M&A tax), Accounting, and Corporate Law including mergers and acquisition, joint ventures, foreign investments, market entry strategy, and corporate restructuring.
Coming with a strong background in taxation he has dealt with several high profile cases involving international tax and corporate tax advisory. He has recently advised a Swiss multinational on issues arising out of an indirect acquisition and seeking a ruling from Advance Ruling Authority. He has advised a US multinational in implementing a tax efficient transaction resulting from a global split. He has recently advised on high pitched tax litigation before Dispute Resolution Panel as well as Income Tax Appellate Tribunal level. He is also engaged in representing clients in tax advocacy before the government for bringing in changes in fiscal laws.
As part of his M&A experience, Kumarmanglam has worked on several acquisitions and asset purchase matters. He recently led advisory to a US corporation on acquisition of business of an Indian manufacturing company across several jurisdictions. He has also assisted a listed media company in a business hive-off matter. He has also worked on several Private Equity and strategic acquisitions.
Kumarmanglam has worked on a number of Court approved reorganisation matters encompassing planning, as well as execution. These include listed as well as unlisted telecom companies, ITeS firms, and companies in manufacturing, service and Infrastructure sectors.
Prior to joining JSA, Kumarmanglam has worked with Big Four Firms across direct tax practices.

- Phil spent 16 years with the Liquor and Gambling Commissioner in South Australia as Manager Gambling Operations. During this time, Phil chaired the ANZ Gaming Machine National Standards Working Party; the multi-jurisdiction committee responsible for maintaining the Australian/New Zealand Gaming Machine National Standard. He was also the chair and panellist on the Assessment Panel for the Accreditation of Testing Facilities.

Sarika Patel is a business leader with over 25 years blending of public, private organisational experience. She is a qualified Chartered account and also a graduate in law.
A proven leader in international business, Sarika’s experience includes leading large multi-sited teams, corporate development and finance, acquiring, integrating and developing businesses as well as company restructuring and turnaround.
Sarika has been on a host of public and private sector boards and is a commissioner and board member of the Gambling Commission.
She is also on the Board of Imperial Healthcare Trust where she chairs the remuneration committee. She is also a Trustee of the Royal Institution of Great Britain and on the board of the Office of Nuclear Regulation.
Sarika has acquired her exceptional depth of experience through her career progression from starting her professional career at Price Waterhouse, early coalface roles in private enterprise and increasingly senior positions in the public sector culminating in being Director of Innovation at London Development Agency. From there she moved into the ‘advisory’ business as National Head of Technology at Grant Thornton. She then led the European operation of large Indian conglomerate MW Corp before joining Zeus Caps.
